November 1st

There is something special about the season of fall. Even when I lived in Florida and we didn’t have the fall transitions, fall was still special. Fall means back to school. Fall means the start of the holiday seasons. Fall means a time of change.

This year fall brought about a new school for the boys, a new house for our family and a moving forward in life. I am looking forward to this holiday season. We just spent our first Halloween in the house. November brings both Blake and Richard’s birthdays, Thanksgiving and the putting up of the Christmas decorations.

We are looking forward to decorating for the holidays. We are looking forward to celebrating together in our home.

Each day in November I will post something that I am thankful for… There is so much to be thankful for, and it’s time to put it down in words.

Today I’m thankful for our new house. I’m thankful that we found a place to call home. That the boys have adapted to our new neighborhood, town and community. This change wasn’t easy, but being in our house and feeling like it is a home… that is worth being thankful for.

What are you thankful for this month?
