I know that tomorrow is Veteran’s Day, but it is also Blake’s birthday. So since today is Veteran’s Day observed I thought I’d write about it today.
I’m thankful to live in a country that provides me the freedom to choose. I’m thankful to live in a country where my sons can grow up to be whoever they want, marry whomever they want, and live wherever they want. And for that I’m thankful
But, I also recognize that those freedoms aren’t free. We have those freedoms because so many men and women put their lives on the line everyday to provide us the freedom. They serve the country out of choice. They choose to put their lives on the line to protect those things that we hold dear. And for that I’m thankful.
I recognize that they each have a family, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands, children and more. I am thankful for the sacrifice each of these family members make by supporting the choice of their loved one to be a solider, a defender of our country. And for that I’m thankful.
Thank you to those who are serving and those who have served. Thank you to their families. Thank you for making this
